Been loyal patrons here for over a decade and at one time this was my favorite restaurant in New York State. This is the review I never wanted to or thought I would ever have to leave.
This may come as a shock to some people but believe it or not, you can’t blame everything on the pandemic. I am sure the pandemic didn’t help things however this truly looks more like a case of ownership and management just giving up and letting things slide and then slide some more. It has really looked this way over the last couple of years I am sad to say. When visiting, every experience has managed to be worse than the previous, everything feels like pulling teeth.
Despite being almost completely empty, (during lunch time, when they used to be slamming busy) getting seated and just getting simple orders out at a reasonable time is something they just don’t seem to be able to do anymore. If French fries are going to take as long as they did, they should at least be fully cooked and not soggy right? There was once a time when this place had the very best French fries, delicious beer battered crispy fries.
Ordered the whiskey burger which was ok once it finally arrived but it was way over cooked, no where near the quality this place was once known for. This restaurant at one time had absolutely outstanding hamburgers. As an appetizer I had the ceasar salad which still had that great flavor but it was very very small, much smaller than what they once served. The wings just didn’t seem to be as good as they used to be. Buffalo’s Best at one time also had absolutely outstanding chicken wings, some of the best I ever had.
There is still a very faint sign of this establishments former greatness, however this is not a restaurant that is anywhere near as great as they once were. I used to recommend this place to everyone but now that is something I probably wouldn’t consider. As I said earlier, this is something we have been noticing over the last couple of years and today we noticed they hit a new low. Sad to do this but I am giving this place an early R.I.P because this is exactly what it looks like, a place on its last breath. Buffalo’s Best we will always remember you for the quality you once put out and all the truly great times myself, friends and family used to have at your place.
